Sonnets in colour: 69-77
This splitting of the sonnets sequence into 3x3 or 4x4 collages, or "chapters", might have seemed "random" at first. But the more time I spend with the sonnets, the more a new pattern of meaning emerges: overarching themes for each "chapter", for each collage of sonnets. And for this one, this theme is duality, the paradox of opposites (which cannot exist without one another). This collage will probably go into a final rework once more, and there is certainly more to say about this translation and what it meant to me, but for now (November 2015), I just leave this stage here, for you to explore.
